# Open a RUM comment

When you encounter an error in an [error template](https://docs-docusaurus.kinsta.page/user-guides/rum/product-features/error-template-view/.md) in your Real User Monitoring [Error Tracking](https://docs-docusaurus.kinsta.page/user-guides/rum/product-features/error-tracking/.md) screen, you can leave a comment or tag your colleagues to ask for their assistance in investigating the root cause of the error.

To begin, select an \[error template] or templates and click on the **Comments** button. Once a comment has been opened, a blue dot will appear on the **Comments** button to indicate an existing investigation. Click on it to view all associated activity in the Activity tab.

To view the comments across all RUM templates, navigate to the [Investigations](https://docs-docusaurus.kinsta.page/user-guides/investigations/view-and-manage-existing-investigations/.md) screen.

All RUM comments are [public](https://docs-docusaurus.kinsta.page/user-guides/investigations/conduct-an-investigation/.md#public-mode).
